These highly experienced musicians are the four members of the Rosewood String Quartet.
Catherine Hayek studied the violin at The Royal Academy of Music. She is in great demand as a teacher and freelance performer with orchestral and chamber groups in the South West. She has appeared as a soloist with The English Mozart Players and The Ten Tors Orchestra. Catherine has been playing with the Rosewood String Quartet for many years.
Sarah Wormell studied the violin and viola at Trinity College of Music where she won several prizes both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She now freelances and travels all over the world playing chamber music. Sarah is much in demand as both an orchestral and chamber musician in the South West. She has been playing with the Rosewood String Quartet for many years.
Andrew Gillett studied the viola at The Royal College of Music and the Hochschule fur Musik in Frankfurt, Germany. He is in much demand as a viola player in various groups in the South West region and as a teacher. He has been playing with the Rosewood String Quartet for many years.
Vicky Evans studied the ‘cello at Dartington College of Arts. She plays in and manages several chamber ensembles and an orchestra in Devon, and she directs a concert & entertainment agency. For years enjoyed playing chamber music regularly on cruise ships travelling all over the world. Vicky founded the Rosewood String Quartet in 1985, and also the Divertimento String Quartet and Divertimento Piano Trio.
