Weddings & Civil Partnerships
A perfect choice for your wedding ceremony and reception is a String
Quartet. They create a sophisticated and warm ambience and have
a wide range of music which will suit all tastes.
The Rosewood String Quartet usually starts playing 15 to 30 minutes
before the start of the ceremony while the guests are arriving.
A processional is played for the bride's entrance, either a loud
declamatory entrance, or something more gentle, depending on the
nature of the bride and the impression that she wants to make. Following
the official part of the wedding ceremony, some more music is played
during the signing of the register. The Recessional, frequently
a Wedding March, is played as the couple leave. We can offer advice
on suitable music if you don't have any particular requests.
Church Weddings are greatly enhanced by the sound of a String Quartet which
can sound quite like an orchestra in church acoustics.
They can play with the organ during the hymns and can alternate during the rest
of the service with the organist.
The Rosewood have been playing for weddings for MANY years but
this never removes the pleasure they have in partaking in these
special occasions. Many a tear is shed during the ceremonies!
